As a Direct Support Provider (DSP) with our organization, you will have an opportunity to provide therapeutic services that support and encourage our members with challenging and complex needs. DSPs seek to modify our members’ behaviors, shifting negative behaviors to positive behaviors through a strength-based approach and skill building activities.
With our training and hands-on experience, this position focuses on identifying antecedents and triggers to then teach our members and their family appropriate techniques to be successful in their natural living environment.
The DSP position is separated into two (2) departments within New Hope of Arizona, Inc. You have the option to work in one department and/or both contingent upon your availability and preference.
Out-Patient Department: DSP provides one on one services with a member at the most appropriate setting, which is determined by New Hope of Arizona and the Child/Family Team. These settings include a home setting, in the community, and/or a school setting.
For Out-Patient, we are always hiring across Phoenix (and surrounding cities), Tucson, and Yuma.
Residential Department: DSP provides services to a group of members in a New Hope of Arizona facility or home setting. Current vacancies include:
Home in Buckeye, AZ: Monday-Thursday: 2pm to 9pm (28 hours)
Home in (South) Phoenix: Monday-Thursday: 2pm to 9pm (28 hours)
Three positions solely for Friday in Phoenix: 2pm to 9pm (7 hours)
Facility in (North) Phoenix: Saturday 9am to 6pm (9 hours)
Facility in Tucson: Saturday 10am to 6pm (8 hours)

You do not get reimbursed for transportation purposes. However, our organization does it's best to have you work around the area you prefer to prevent long distance travel times
Our management team along with our resources will be able to provide you enough activities for you to utilize in preparation for your session(s). You are requested to hold off from personal preparation time unless indicated otherwise.
Our organization offers various methods for training in the Behavioral Health Field. You may contact our People's Department for more information.
Unfortunately, you do not get reimbursed for employment requirements.

You may work up to thirty-four (34) hours per week. Hours and schedules vary depending on your availability and needs of the organization.
